Rail at Birch Coppice is operated by Roadways Containers Logistics, the biggest container transport and terminal operator company in the UK.

• 35 acre terminal with capacity to hold 3,000 containers
• 24 hour operation 7 days per week
• Gantry cranes able to lift 25 containers per hour

Birch Coppice has W10 (9’6� High Cube) cleared specifications to allow large containers to arrive from the UK ports of Felixstowe and Tilbury. BIFT now receives seven Freight Trains daily from the UK ports of Felixstowe, Southampton, Tilbury and Thamesport from rail operators DB Schenker Rail, Freightliner and GBRf.
